What aged care funding can pay for TheraGolf?
Home Care Packages (levels 1–4), the Commonwealth Home Support Programme and residential aged-care budgets can all allocate funds to TheraGolf. Because sessions are led by an Occupational Therapist they sit under allied-health, wellness or social-support lines, so case managers can claim them without extra paperwork.
How does TheraGolf fit the aged care quality standards?
Our program is built around choice, dignity and ongoing assessment. Each participant gets an individual activity plan reviewed regularly (Standards 1 & 2). Gentle, OT-guided exercise meets personal-care needs (Standard 3) while safe, accessible venues and trained staff cover Standards 5 & 7. Feedback loops and clear policies complete the set.
Do residents need golf experience or their own equipment?
No. We supply adaptive clubs, oversized targets, seated putting aids and even sensory-friendly balls. From first-timers to life-long golfers, everyone can join in and progress at a comfortable pace.
Is it safe for people with limited mobility or dementia?
Yes. Activities are low impact, supervised by an OT and PGA Professional, and can be done seated or standing. For cognitive support we offer sensory golf experiences with calming music, tactile cues and smaller group sizes to keep everyone engaged and relaxed.
